It’s been an awesome summer for us at Garden Eats- lots of time spent getting to know more of the people who shape our food and growing culture in the community. To our delight we tried our hand at mulberry tree growing and San Marzano tomatoes for the first time, Milan grew strawberries that are still popping up every day, and we planted miles of brassicas, tomatoes, climbers, melons and herbs with our clients.
With Autumn around the corner we’ll be back to the blog more so keep firing away your questions for us to feature here!
Watch for our upcoming feature on hydroponics in Edible Finger Lakes Magazine, a stop by the Williams Sonoma blog, Foodista and a special interview with DeMeyer Farms of Rochester, NY about their dedication to pesticide-free and non-GMO farming for the past 30 years!
Next up this coming week is a recap of my night creating raw craft mocktails and cocktails with advanced level students at the raw food Culinary Institute at M.A.K.E. In Santa Monica. I’ll also be sharing thoughts on a talk I gave earlier this season to The International Association of Culinary Professionals about culinary and molecular mixology.
For now, check out these closeups from our awesome clients’ gardens.
