Eat No Evil, Eat Angell Organic Candy Bars!

Chris and Suzanne Angell love candy.

Lucky for us, they love it so much that they designed the sweet-tooth satisfying treat they call The Angell Bar!

What do I love about this bar? Not only is it organic, it’s actually an honest to goodness, candy bar (not a health food bar trying to pass itself off as candy). Did I mention they offer gluten-free candy too (the Crisp)?

Why The Angell Bar Exists

Kids like sweet treats, they like candy. Turns out, adults do too! Some of us adults, like the ones who read this blog, like to eat candy, but have given a lot of it up because the ingredients are fake, un-friendly, sugary bi-products. Angell, being the candy-lovers that they are, went and did something cool. They designed a candy bar that is Fair Trade Certified. Simply put, when this chocolate melts in your mouth, you can feel good about savouring every last bite!

What’s So Cool About Fair Trade?

  • No funky herb- or pesticides allowed
  • Products produced on equipment free from harmful neuro-toxins
  • The cocoa beans are traceable to the growers
  • $$$ goes to small farmers and their families
  • Angell ensures kids eat their chocolate rather than make it (child-slave labor is a huge issue within the cocoa industry)

To Serve & Protect

The Angells seem to have thought of everything kind and sweet, like protecting the earth! Knowing that all businesses borrow vitality from the earth to produce their goods, Angell gives back to rejuvenate the environment by voluntarily donating to 1 % For the Planet.

Angell says, “cocoa farming is tough work.” Learn more about it here.

“It’s hard to give up old habits, especially delicious ones, so we decided that instead of giving up candy bars, we’d just create ones that had all of the deliciousness of our old favorites (maybe even a little bit extra) but none of the guilt.”
