Puffer’s Peppers

I’m lucky. My friends are good to me. My friend Heidi is really good to me! Recently down to San Diego for a visit from Palm Springs, she hand delivered an array of spicy and sweet peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes! Picked fresh from her family’s garden, I promised to return the favor by sending a bushel of fresh figs from our backyard, home to her dad, Gunther.

Heidi’s delivery came just in time to make a German version of pepper salad for our Oktoberfest party!

Want to try the salad? Drop me a line for the recipe.
