Seedling Survival!

Seedling Survival

Just when Rochestarians think summer has arrived, one of our local meteorologists dutifully announces, “this evening brings the chance of a frost.” A frost? In June? Don’t be so surprised though, the weather is all but predictable around here.

Hearing this, Kath decides it’s tee-pee time for the seedlings. If the frost hits, all the hard work of sewing the seeds would be lost. With little time to waste, the tee-pee goes up to keep the seeds protected.

The Next Morning

Kath is greeted by good news upon waking, no frost! Just in case though, the make-shift tee-pee stays on a couple more days to keep the little seedlings warm.

Stay tuned for an update later this week to see what else is popping up!
